Digital Resurrection is one of the most innovative among our 3D holographic solutions. This technology is fairly recent, but has already achieved incredible success, especially following the performance held at Coachella Festival. What do we mean by this expression? Is it really possible to bring a late celebrity back to life?
Digital Resurrection employs special equipment, such as Holographic Theatres (IceMagic), and visual and light effects to create a realistic three-dimensional image. For instance, you can accurately recreate the features of a late actor, musician or singer. The performer’s appearance and movements will be scanned and graphically elaborated to obtain a vivid, interactive and realistic image that moves, dances, sings and talks on stage – just as if it were a real living person. A project that may seem futuristic, but that has already been delivered and broadcasted worldwide across all social networks – as in the case of Tupac Shakur’s performance at Coachella Festival where the rapper was brought back to life.
During the well-known festival, a faithful reproduction of Tupac appeared on stage, offering a truly incredible moment of magic. The hologram of the rapper interacted with other performers on stage and with his fans – and all this was possible thanks to our state-of-the-art equipment. Shakur’s performance soon went viral and amassed millions of views online!
How will Digital Resurrection and holographic creations evolve? In the future, we will be able to create holographic events with fictional characters, with icons of the past or through Telepresence (IceNet). Imagine to attend the concert of your favourite band from the 60s or 70s, or to interact with a movie star… The creation of 3D holograms opens up a world of opportunities to an extent only the future will reveal!
